Thought I would introduce myself - good manners before I start asking a lot of questions....
I have been looking for an entry level adventure bike for 7 or 8 months and after looking at / test riding KLR's, XR 600, XT and TT 600's and more I finally spent the money and got myself a 2001 XR 400R. It seems to be mostly rated as a tough simple machine which is all I can ask for right now.
My first mod will be to design and manufacture a rear rack for a top box. Any suggestions on essential / worthwhile mods will be appreciated.
