Hi there

just to let you know this trial starts at 10am this Sunday morning.  All riders on trial bikes are welcome - R50 per entry.  There are 8 sections set in stunning surroundings.  Three sections are in and out of a river bed in an indigenous forest.  Forth section is 'farmyard' type' and includes riding though a V in a tree.  The remaining four sections feature rock, rock faces, delicate off-camber, and felled blue gum log riding.
There is something for everyone.  Under 10's have their own "Osset" course, and all eight of the adult sections have three different routes; easy, difficult and extreme.
Some sections are very short and technical - like 15 to 20 meters long.  Others can be up to 80 meters long.  The same applies to the distance between sections.
in all, riders don't ride very far - maybe 6 kilometers for the duration of the trial.  But due to the layout, technical nature, and scouting required, 4 laps of 8 sections will take in excess of three hours.
If you thought riding an adventure or enduro bike was hard work, then try 64 kilogram trials bike for three hours plus!.
