Edgy, now there's a good question - walking through the river/s... I was there and I'm asking myself the same thing whilst looking at the pictures. Why the heck did we walk that river? ??? :)

All I remember is - that specific one being much deeper and perilous than the pictures now indicate :lol8:

In fact we had one "fall over" in that river, a lot of "wobbling" and quite a bit of spinning, water showers. Helluva slippery and unpredictable little river that was. Oh yes, and it was our first crossing for the day so we were still rather timid and haven't found our rhythm yet.. That's about all the excuses (save for lack of experience) which I could think of... ;)

They should however have shown a number of other crossings, where we were "styling it" :ricky:

Dankie vir die deel. Lyk moer lekker, sal hom eendag moet aan pak as ek weer n fiets het

Awesome pics. I doubt I would like to those technical bits on a big bike.

Michiel is busy editing the video. Once its posted you will see some of those "styling it" river crossings  :thumleft:
I can also confirm that that specific water crossing was extremely slippery and in almost zero degree temperatures nobody wanted to fall over in that freezing water.
We had a full day's riding ahead of us and everybody was taking the cautious approach.
