I'm looking to get another adventure bike, but new bikes are simply out of my reach right now (I've always had a policy of never borrowing money for absolute non-essentials).
Seeing that I can't get new nowadays, I'm leaning towards something classic in terms of adventure bikes. Obvious choices include:
- previous generation Africa Twin
- BMW R100/1150 GS. I always wanted a G/S 800 until I rode one, so they don't make my list.
- KTM 950 Adv. 990's are still a little too pricey
- XT660 (in its various forms)
Bikes that don't make my list are:
- Suzuki V-Stroms (too low , alloy wheels, suspension)
- Italians
- Chinese
- Honda Varadero (same reason as Suzuki)
What have I not thought about?
