You can say for some of us this trip has been in the making for exactly a year, as last year due to working commitments we had to cancel the trip.
This year there was nothing stopping us and we headed out saterday morning at about 08h00.
I will let the pictures do most of the talking.
Day1
First dirt and deflating tyres
Our first stop
Lunch - Cheese shop - well we didnt have any cause they served mostly cheese...so we decided to head striagh to dullstroom
Except for the heavy sand we had the first 50km's, day one was luckily uneventful.
DAY2 - coming back from dullies
Our first mud!
All passed without incident
A quick stop at the dam
Just before we headed home we had a nice last technical section....
Some more mud, and this one I blame on my wife as, in her own words....She was hoping we will have a little bit of a spil so that she can also feel what it feels like...
So the GS, as a good reliable machine, followed my wife's order and we had a nice spil in the mud:
Resulting in this:
oh, and its now about 3 times darker and purple...
The GS also enjoyed the trip and now needs a wash....any volunteer's?
All in all it was a nice 700km round trip with 1 puncture, 1 mud spill and one cavaty spill....as they say, it comes in 3's.
Will upload more photos as soon as my wife has uploaded them as she decided its nice to take photos on the back while I battle the sand. :ricky:
