I managed to bend the paralever swing arm on my 1200 GSA (2008) inwards, so that it now rubs against the back tyre. This must have happened last weekend when riding some rough roads in the Freestate. I only discovered it on the weekend when washing the bike, and the canvas is already showing on the tyre. ......... someone once said on the forum that you always wash your bike yourself, as this is a way to pick up defects and broken components.

I assume this is not something that can be straightened, and the plan is to start looking around for a 2nd hand arm. My question: Is this someting that I can replace in the garage, or is it advisable to take it in to the BMW money extortionists?
