I stumbled across more of these at a good price - same as the one that I've been using for almost 3 years on my bike trips, sometimes normal camping and a few times during load shedding.
Packs up into a sturdy compact container
Weight 287g
Carries up to 1.5L water securely since it sits flat on the ground, with feet wide apart, and wide support arms - I've made scrambled eggs for 4 people in a cast iron pan on it before
Boils 2 large mugs of water in 4.5 minutes if you crank it wide open - my electric kettle at home takes just under 2.5 minutes as a comparison
I did find that it does not work with a Coleman gas canister (the pin inside the connector does not open the cylinder), but no issues with all the other brands I've had
I've never kept track exactly, but one small 230g canister lasts me around 3 3-day trips if I make coffee 3 times a day and use it for breakfast or dinner.

Most economical, sturdy and fast gas stoves I've come across so far

R300, excl postage
