PLEASE help - Tenere 600 Oil Change

Hi Guys

Please assist here.

I'm changing oil on the old Tenere 600's.

1) I drain the oil from the oil tank, right?

2) Then I drain the "excess"  engine (crank case) oil, right?

3) Fill up to dipstick level in the oil tank, right??

Now my question...........what next, after the new oil is in the tank??

I cant just start it, the oil is drained from the engine......or do I have to " prime "  it or something first??
