I started looking at some of my issues, then started riding in a way I can identify them and deal with them. Realised after a while that my shortcomings are psychological (read, fear) based.
Read through many research docs, and web sites, and eventually today ended up on this one:

No author alone is authoritative and an expert, so I am not asking for a flame war, just sharing a link that had some remarkable "AH!" moments in it for me.
Maybe this would be helpful to someone else, or spark some discussion over fear, especially in my fear-areas (slower cornering on my knobbies, sand/beaches and the clown at mcdonalds)
