My brother & sister in law were coming out to SA from Vancouver for a month or so on holiday. They wanted to go across Lesotho. so we devised a cunning plan!
My other BOL lives in Cape Town & has a 1200 GSA (Putco).
THE PLAN
The Canadian contingent were going to Umhlanga for a week, so we'd load my KTM 625 SXC (Katoom) on a bike carrier I'd made for my bakkie & drive to PMB airport to collect them after they'd dropped off their rental car on Sunday. We'd then drive to Underberg & spend Sunday & Monday night there. Meanwhile Putco would ride from Cpt to Underberg, all meeting up on Monday afternoon for a braai.
We'd leave on the Tuesday morning, go up Sani Pass, have lunch & onwards to Mothotlong, where we'd overnight. The following day the bakkie contingent would got to Clarens, via Butha Buthe, while Putco & Katoom would go to Clarens via Monantsa pass. We'd overnight in Clarens & do more riding from there.
