Just for a warm-up session before voting a hand full of Dogs met up to go play in the Quarry near Vissershok.

Thanks to those who turned up, I haven't been riding with the boys for a couple of weeks and it was good getting
together again. Welcome to Marc on his newish KTM! Mark took it sowewhat easy and had to leave early but it
was good to see you riding again.

With some of the dust and lose gravel weighed down with moisture after the rains I had 2 attempts
at riding up the imfamous hill but sadly didn't fare any better than last time.
Then Kamanya came along and showed us how it's done...

One has to gain enough momentum on approach but that does mean some low-flying.

Next time we meet, you are welcome to take mine for a spin...

OMW!!!!! There really arent allot of words in the English dictionary to describe this bike, Must have been one of the top 10 moments of my life riding that bike ;D . Im very surprised at how smooth it is through the gears, riding a bike with a fixed steering collom is a bit weird at first, but I didnt even notice going through a sandy patch, the suspension is amazing.

So a HUGE thank you to you Andrew, now I know why the "Dark Side" has so many followers!

Mark Hardy.........You should let Kamanya show you how that hill climb is done, he went for it the first time and flew like 50 feet through the air over that first bump,  ok maybe not 50 feet, but it was bloody high, no pic though as everyone was too stunned at what just happened.

After most of the people left, The Wes was handing out free rides on his BMW, thanks man that bike is awesome, I like how light it is compared to the XT that I rode a couple of weeks back, and it makes a lekke noise ;D !

Leftless, thanks for showing me that little track inside the main quarry, Im going go practise it allot, and then one day catch you! :D :D

Ja that hill got the better of me, well done Kamanya  :thumleft:

Who is the other Mark with a 950 riding at the quarry?

Black thunder, he used to ride that loud black funduro

Nice....had to do something today hey? just wish I could go riding! Enjoying  the rr though..,.. some very nice pics! :ricky:

Thanks all, i had a great time...

ENXR there's lots of little loops to practice on in order to build skill and endurance levels.  The best way is to set a loop, pick a riding buddy on a similar skill level as you and race for either a set time (say 30 or 60 mins) or until one catches the other.  I prefer the slower more technical stuff apposed to high speed stuff.

Please note - do not go there alone!

Tnx alot everybody!! Wes....you made my day, i couldn't stop talking about that bike of yours. i heard they dont make them anymore.........

Hey Guys thanks a lot for the ride!! took it easy today just getting used to the bike as it was my first off road ride on it  :thumleft: Its such an awesome bike amazing how good it is on all terrain and once you on it it doesnt feel as big as it looks. Wish i had a bit more time to play around today but was looking at another KTM 950 with my friend White boots... He once one now  >:D Oh and its Marc with a C   :deal:

Nice Pics Michiel!!!

Was a great ride and good entertainment value!

With all the falls and near off going around, my laugh of the day still goes to Marc (with a c) with his KTM stickers on his BMW enduro helmet (and bmw city pants and bmw ralley jacket) - --  :imaposer:  - legend.
making it VERY clear (3 stickers on the helmet not so?) that branding is NNNB  :imaposer:
Think i'm gonna get some KTM jocks and a KTM sticker for my x-challenge - maybe then i can ride like kamanya   :ricky:  It would deffinately give my bike better suspension either way!!

Thanks for an awesome ride dudes!
Wes - i got a good video of your fall.
Kamanya- i got that vid of you up the steep hill too.  My camera's video not that great quality tho. Think Michiel's pics do it better justice - those look awesome.

Good times
Peter
