I took the bike for a good ride to warm the oil then I let it stand for 20min to settle. then I opened the filler and sump plug and drained the drive shaft and nice black stuff pours out and a big blob of gunk still stuck to the sump plug. I left the sump unplugged for a while to ensure all was out. Clean it up and put it back.
Referred to manual which says 0.26L of 80w90 to be applied. Started pouring and only manage to get 0.21L in. So where is the 50ml
Could there have been oil still making it's way down the shaft?
I turned the wheel over a few times and checked the filler plug (just above the brake lever) and it was still full to the brim.
Any ideas? Does it matter?
