The shop owner was somewhat apprehensive when he saw us descending on him. It turns out that some days prior to our arrival a group of bikers had arrived and ridden their bikes straight into his store.

Some of the best riding available to us in on the vast tracts of community owned land. Come on guys, let's have a smidging of respect for those around us and in particular those over whose land we are privileged to enjoy our beloved sport.
And remember to always support
the locals!!
 
No sooner than we have the wheels turning, everyone's prostrates are getting squashed with the copious volumes of Coke and other beverages imbibed in Eksteensfontein.

Just to shred our on edge nerves, a lovely combination of rock, soft sand rock. To get through the sand the back wheel is doing ~40km/hr - but the bike is only doing 20. The rock then levels the equation, often leaving the rider as a spectator on his posterior.

Just like that, it is all over. We probably did it in under an hour. Although still tricky, the cages with their oversize tyres chose to drive straighter lines, allowing us to keep our speed up and the falls down.
