Truly, these "places" are just as accessible to you and not so far out beyond what’s doable. Remember that your bike, is way more competent than you and if you trust it, it will pull you though. You can dial in your level of difficulty even in some of the most "hectic" places. Most of the limitations are in the mind.

I say just set a date and do it. You might find that when you write your report you’ll have a couple of replies that sound like this;

“I wish I had the talent, guts, balls to ride those places, you guys are really privileged! Thanx for sharing and giving us something to dream about!”

Once again thanks for a lekker report.  :thumleft:

I need to ride the Richtersveld

Ok, for those of you who have the bandwidth here is the extended version of the video.

The first 3 days are in this one, missed all of day 2;

Raw first 3 days

If you should only watch one or two the next two have a lot of the River Route in them and are the more exciting ones;

Day 4 pt 1

Day 4 pt 2

The second day of the RAW (not much) and the section along the River towards Pella.

Day 5&6

Day 6 the Karoo

Heading home, the mud and rain, the Cederberge

Final Day

Thanks for all your comments so far.

Thanks Kamanya for all the effort of putting the RR and the video clips together. A magic part of the world.  :thumleft:

tikkie tumble!

The tumble Jack0 told me about.... U alright though?

Kamanya , awsome trip , enjoyed your RR and pics ,and the writting from the heart.
Jacko , I enjoy your writting , its fresh and different .

And to confirm , with out the right kit (ballistic jacket) , my little fall in the dunes could have been a lot worse , as it happens , (2 cracked ribs , bruised lower back and right hip.)
No protection on the sides of your ribs , so your elbow gets the last say !

And a hole the size if a R5 coin in the front of my Ballistic jacket , through the padding.

Awesome RR

Nice to see my bike performing so well ::)
On a serious note though, awesome stuff, you are a rolemodel to the up-and-coming guys, that thing you said about most of it being in your mind is very true.
Must ride together again once my cast is off!

Kamanya what a GRT RR ....I had to have a little giiggle at your expense ...re the fall....I just t recollected how everyone wanted  a replay and replay and replay just before the rugby on Saturday..... :biggrin: :biggrin:  Your Clips are amazing :ricky: :ricky: :ricky:

A Hard fall to say the least.... :eek: :eek: :eek:

Yes as you say Amazing, the beauty of the rugged untouched valleys that all of us who were able to experience at RAW, the type of riding, was truly one huge privilege.... 8) 8) 8) :thumleft: :thumleft:

Everything is doable....its all in the mind.....I know on the return trip from the dunes that huge rocky downhill route...
Helshoogte or whatever was in my mind..... I just paddled till i was happy to let the Beast do the work.... :eek: :eek:

Again I pushed my boundaries.... :eek:

thanks to all for an Amazing weekend A whack of Fun and an AWSUM experience :ricky: :ricky: :ricky:
