It's not you. It's photobucket's slow service. It takes several minutes for Kamanya's pics to load whereas Jacko's are almost instantaneous

Nardus

Is your tank sprayed or is it orange plastic?

Lekker trip guys :thumleft:

Its orange plastic. You can buy orange, black or white cthru. At 30% of cost compared to KTM tanks, its a must have! As Kamanya correctly stated, at last you can ride without heading straight for the next fuel stop. Google RVaqualine or safari tanks.

Nardus I lived in this little house for six months which is at 31,22,59,72S and 17,58,20,89E. About 50km from Lutzville. It is up on the hill above DR. White(or Wrights) grave which should be at 31,24,18,73S and 17,56,54,05E. He was a geologist that worked for Sammy(forgot his surname) a Texan oilmillionare that came out to SA in the 60s build the biggest diamondboat of its time in CT harbour. He did underwater surveys for Sammy all along the Westcoast looking for good diamondgravel. He "drowned at that spot where the cross is. Weird thing is his body were never found. His leadharness with airpipe was still attached. Rumor has it he staged his own drowning and went to De Beers with all his information which he sold to them. The boat which he was diving from later moved up to Luderitz where it run aground south of Luderitz. Sammy  returned to Texas. A book was written about Sammys time in SA but I cannot remember the title. DR.Wrights family came from Scotland to erect the cross.

Very interesting - thanks for sharing! I do not know the west coast very well, even though I lived in Skelmbos for 30 years (arm man). I have a feeling that there must be hundreds of interesting historical facts and tales from that part of the world.

Found what I was looking for. The Texan was Sam Collins. Book published in 1996 by Roger Williams. Title is Saga of Sam Collins.
Interesting read and tells the story of DR.Wright.
And now Ive hijacked this thread enough.
