I just had the fork oil changed. Now it makes a prominent clicking noise when you compress the shocks even only a little bit. I can actually feel it in the handle bars. When I asked the technician who done the oil change, who is a member of this site, he said it is normal because of the progressive springs that are very long. Even though I am not technically minded I don't buy this explanation. If something does not make a noise before a service but after, it tells me it was not done incorrectly. I had the progressive springs fitted by Mike Hopkins and it did not make a noise. Can it maybe be the oil that was used. The technician said it was a 7. I also don't feel much or any difference to the shocks. It may even feel softer. From the comments on this site I was lead to believe that changing the oil after 40 000 kms would make a huge difference. Needless to say, I am pissed off.
