We jokingly asked for a castle at the Quiver Tree Forest Office, and the lady told us politely that it is a sin to ask for anything other than Namibian beer in Namibia. I tend to agree. The Tafels are great. Especially there. Cold.

Jip, so werk dit mos. As jy begin met 'n trip kan jy nie glo dit gaan so gou verby nie. Moes julle enige snaakse dokumentasie he om oor die grens te gaan? ek het net rumour gehoor dat hulle nou vol dinge is by die grens.

Wonderfully well. I've done 16 000km of trips on this one, and it takes everything you throw at it. It likes to be ridden hard. That being said, you have to weight the front and keep the luggage as near to the centre of the bike as possible. The one bike had a large cargo bag, soft bags, and  two 5l fuel cans all at the back, and the handling was terrible. I took it for a stretch, and it felt like riding a unicycle. See pic below

Only your passport and bike papers, the latter which they never even checked really. They Nam officials were all too preoccupied with the live screening of the Oscar Pistorius trial. They were all in a trance. :happy2:

Ok Avontier, moet nie lat ons jou ophou nie.

Ek dink dit gaan baie mooi wees om in Namibia te ry hierdie winter wanneer al die gras geel geword het. Het ook gesien in LMG se RR hoe groen die wereld is. Ongelooflik ook hoe saad wat in die grond bly vir 'n lang tyd, weer ontkiem as die omstandighede reg is. Ek het nooit kon dink enigiets kan groei op die maanlandskap tussen Ai-Ais en die oranje nie.

Maar soos ek sê, ek wil jou nou nie ophou nie.
