captain slow and i swopped bikes for a bit.  the 800gs with the tuned front suspension feels good and the knobblie on the front is much better than my sirac, though the sirac on the rear is fine.  have ridden cappies bike before but not on gravel and must say the 800gs is very jerky on the throttle, struggled with it quite a bit.  the xt is way less powerful that the bmw but it's easy as pie to ride.
