Derek "Nobby" Clark passed away aged 81. The Rhodesian was a GP mechanic to Mike Hailwood, Agostini, Kenny Roberts. He worked on the Honda 125 5-cylinder, 250 6-cylinder and 500 4-cylinder bikes, then the Yamaha 500's. A man that was both mischievous and passionate about the work he did. He was the first European person to be accepted by the Japanese to work on their GP machines in the 60's. He did not suffer fools lightly and once gave Ago a bollocking for wanting to withdraw from a race.

RIP Nobby
