Route suggestions Benoni to Clarens?

I'm taking Frau Guitar for a dirty weekend to Clarens. What's a good route to take? I'm thinking of cutting through Heidelberg to Deneysville and then through Oranjeville to join the R26 to Frankfort, Petrus Steyn, Bethlehem,  Clarens, but I'd like to throw Golden Gate into the deal.
