Saron Canal Kloof

Crossed-up , thanks for the ride.
We went back to Saron to finish a ride that we started last month.And it was much wetter and muddier this time.
But we managed to get right up into the kloof.

Today I saw a Husky get stuck in the mud and run out of petrol !!!

There was plenty of water to ride in and through

Saron Canal

I think when it gets a bit warmer , we must go back and do a stealth camp there !Plenty of riding to be done in that area

Fantastic day out.  Not even a Husky could make it through that mud!  I could hardly get my boots unstuck.

Brilliant day and huge fun.  Thanks Andy, I really enjoyed it.


Oh, and the Husky's tripmeter under-reads by 20%,  so the consumption is actually 15.6 km/l.  Not all that good, but better than 14 that we first thought.

Perhaps this pic needs some explanation:

The muddy track through the water is part of Andy's gate avoidance track.  The bicycle belongs to a Saron local, Llewellyn, who watched our progress with incredulity.

Sal somer a ride weer binekort daar van maak en n` braai is a baie lekker idea !
