Like a typical child with a new toy I started playing with the  knobs on my damper as it came out of the box without worrying about noting the original factory settings. The interweb suggests 8 clicks in respect of the left knobby and 8 quarter turns (2full turns?) iro the right knobby. Problem though is that I found conflicting instructions on which direction to turn the knobbies though. Else it refers to turning it tight or loose ??? ??? ???

Further, Ive read up on the basics of how dampers work but am still not certain what setting would be best for varying situations. In the spirit of wanting to get the most out of my damper plse tell us what your favorite settings are for:
Default setting?
Rough gravel with rocks ruts and potholes (ala sani pass on a bad day)
Smooth gravel highways with occasional sandy patches?
Thick Sand?
Muddy conditions?
