as per heading, seen at our Store today - Yamaha T7... Cairo-to-Cape Town!
Ben, arrived in CT today, from Liverpool, via Cairo, and then down the WESTERN side of Africa; chilling in Cape Town and rest of SA in a 4x4 for the next month, and then departs again for Cairo, but EAST coast, this time!
Yamaha T7 - almost ZERO issues; had 2 punctures the entire trip, has a LITTLE cracking in the fairings, left and right, where indicator vibration damaged the plastics, carried a 6L Desert Fox fuel cell - folded up, with him, and said that the fuel cell in THREE TIMES the price in the UK!!!
Fitted a 23L Acerbis tank, which really helped; he is a shorter chap, so felt the weight up high slightly, but quickly got used to it!
Was very impressed with his Kriega pannier bags, which held up exceptionally well (we are a stockist - just 'saying! ) and also highly rated his MESH seat cover (useful in rain and heat, and we are also a stockist!)
His Lonerider top bag needs a few repairs in Cape Town, I think he will go to Rocksole, etc...
One grip went sticky, and the other is slipping on the Throttle tube, but hardly any problems to mention - says it is a brilliant bike!
Cheers
Chris
