Hi gents, need advice:
I took my 2012 800 GS for its 20 000km service at my local BMW Motorrad. They phoned and explained my bike was not yet ready for pickup and that unfortunately I need to come in and change loan bikes (courtesy bikes).
While there I go over to MY bike (still on the operating table) and find the mechanic attempting to glue a broken piece back to the engine block. It turns out a bolt broke off inside the engine block and while drilling it out, a small part of the engine block actually broke off. See in the photo. I used tippex on the courtesy bike to indicate the part that has now broken off.
I then left the premises without speaking to anybody else.
Does anybody have any advice as to what I should do when collecting the bike?
The performance of the bike is not affected BUT in my opinion the value is! And if I accept this as is today, then tomorrow this is going to be solely my problem!
