The Route:
Thursday 16 December: Distance for the day 339 km
Meet at the shop early morning and set off to Greylingstad on tar - we can meet you along the way as the shop is out of the way for some.
Turn off the tar near Greylingstad and ride dirt roads to Memel.
Sleep at campsite in Memel and party at the infamous Memel hotel...
Friday 17 December: Distance for the day 213 km
Leave Memel early morning and travel to Geluksburg via mostly, dirt roads and Colling's Pass! (nothing like Sani, the pass is very easy and nothing extreme but very beautiful)
Sleep at Gina's chalets and campsite - only camping allowed though!
Dinner at Gina's.
Saturday 18 December: Distance for the day 285 km
Leave Geluksburg early morning and travel via mostly dirt roads and Middledale pass to Koppies Dam
Sleep at Koppies dam nature reserve.
We will have to see about dinner...
Sunday 19 December: Distance for the day 190 km
Leave Koppies Dam and travel tar roads home to spend Christmas with the family...
Well there you go! If you would like to join us please let us know as soon as possible by email so that we can start making final arrangements.
I don't have an idea of costs yet but seeing as we are camping it won't be much other than the normal expenses, petrol, food, drink etc.
