Hello Dogs
I have had my bike for just over a year now and have happily been commuting daily with it but on the 28th of June I had my first accident and am happy to report that I am quite ok.
Happened at night when I was on my way home. Car in the lane next to me decided he needed my spot and came over side swiped me slightly (I kind saw the twatwaffle coming and started to avoid him) and was run off the road and ended with a R1200GS plow.
Driver of the car dove off and left me there, luckily I received a major dose of adrenalin and was able to get the bike upright again (with what I would later discover in hospital was a broken shoulder) and rode home.
Crash bars ate most of the damage and I am very impressed with the bike's rims, after ramping the curb to avoid said car neither rim took any damage.
Will be back in the saddle in 5 weeks
