BMW R1200GS Adventure
Hi

The sad day has come that I have to put my baby on the market. Reason for selling is simply because my wife and I are relocating to the USA in a few months.

I initially bought the bike from our late friend, HP Freak (RIP Howie . . .) At the time the bike had 12000km on the clock and everything that Howie did / added to it is still the same, except that I also raised (turned upside down) the two front spot lights.

It now has less than 64,000 km on the clock with a full service history with BMW initially (until 40k) and thereafter with Andrew King from Kingtech Motorcycles (ex Atlantic Technician).

This is a 2009 model in excellent condition with all the bells and whistles:
• ABS
• ESA
• ASC
• Heated Grips
• Tyre Pressure Monitors

The extra’s that were added are:
• Touratech Sump Guard
• 2 x Touratech Crash Bar Bags
• Clutch reservoir protector
• Brake reservoir protector
• Potentiometer cover
• Wild @ Heart Handle Bar risers
• 2 x Headlight covers – clear & orange
• Raised spot lights
• Full set of BMW OEM Aluminum Panniers and Top Box
• Akrapovic Pipe
• Extra 12V inlet close to instruments
• Howie also sprayed the two side covers on the tank that nice shiny red.

The only negatives that I can think of are the scratches on both the cylinder head covers, as evidenced on the pics. The set of K60 Heideneau's probably have another 5k on the back (if you also ride like a girl like me), and the front probably double that.

A fair asking price for a GSA in this condition with the extras is R100,000.

A bike like this is of course ideal for someone like Two Stroke Dan who really admires the BMW brand, the lifestyle that it personifies and the instant elevation to riding god once you have acquired this machine, especially given your increased sand riding skills.

I will be really sad to see this bike go, but unfortunately it does not make sense to ship it across with us to the States.

PM me if you are really interested in buying.

Thanks
