I bought various bits and pieces to build an electric quad. I got quite far down the track, and then got too busy with other things and now this is just taking up space.
What it is is a quad frame (quite a large one), a 2kw 48V electric motor and controller with hand throttle, 4x small lead acid batteries, now dead, and some sprockets to drive the whole contraption. There are 3 small solar panels mounted on the back that were supposed to trickle charge the batteries.
It was running at a stage, but the gearing was wrong so I put on a larger rear sprocket eventually, but by that time the batteries were dead and I never got around to replacing them and so it has stood for a year.
I probably spent R8k on getting the bits and pieces together, make me an offer.
