sparky question ??

ok i have recieved my spotlight thingies and now
i want to put them on so
gonna make some brackets and mount them
the question i have for anyone who is wise with sparks
is
will a latching relay be a good idea to use as i am trying to get away from adding extra switches and stuff
i would like to trigger the latching relay by flicking the brights on
the pulse should engage the relay into the on position
which should them turn the spots on
flashing the brights again will then give another pulse to the relay turning the spots off

the big question is
when i put the brights on there is a continuous pulse going to the relay
how will this affect its working ??????

any assistance will be much appreciated :wink:
