Steering Head Bearings

Hi, time to replace Steering head bearings...
What brand is "the best", or rather, what brand should I steer clear of?
Will do it myself and not buying from BMW...

ps. Do I need to buy the dust cover plates or is sealed bearings the thing to go for?
