Both the trip meter and mileage counter never worked since I bought the bike. So, I've taken apart the speedo clustere to lubricate the plastic gears with silicon grease. The gears look in decent shape and I hope the grease will do the trick.
I also thought about resetting the mileage counter, but think it's not possible as the housing that holds the pin on which the numbered dials turn, seems quite fragile. Has anybody attempted this before?
