So I've started taking my bike apart for general maintenance and with this have decided to also strip the sub frame to CAD up some gussets to reinforce the two fingers which are a weak point on my Te610. With this I am also in the process of designing a new bash plate with compartments and want to use a harder material as the one on the bike now is just too weak for the job.
My question is what ali alloy is best to use that is strong but also flexible enough for the job?

On another note. While taking the wiring harnesses off etc I noticed some pinched and shaved wires that need taking care of. When doing general maintenance on your bike make an effort to check for the same.
