Sutherland quicky

Just a short post, took a quick trip to Sutherland this weekend, via Ceres and the Tankwa Karoo. Roads were great a bit of mud and water but nothing serious. The cold was not to bad either what luck!! Was dressed to go to the North Pole though.

To all the 990 riders you can do the trip on one tank from Sutherland to Cape Town – 355 km one tank  - believe it.

She is stock standard, the only upgrade that I have done was to my throttle hand, upgrading the software does wonders to fuel consumption and you actually get to see and experience so much more.

The honesty shop is still there, honestly I can’t believe that there are still honest people around but this proves it, there is still hope for us.

Dankie Pote en Heimer...ek het Feb 2011 solo vanaf Frazerburg daar langs gekom en kan nou so iets herroep. Seker omdat daar toe niks aangegaan nie.  Dit was k.. warm gewees.

Gaan slaap by Rudi Blom,hy is verspot goedkoop en hy is n Biker.
Almal in die dorp ken hom,vra maar net.

China Pete - they are both 2006 model 640 adventures.

Its a real pity the honesty shop is closed is summer, a cold beer or coke on that road will be the shit.
We are planning to do the Ouberg pass soon all the way up to Middelpos and the cutting across the Tankwa national park and back to Oasis via Wupperthal, still working on the route.
