I am planning an overland trip to Tanzania for June/July this year. The plan, although not cast in stone, would be something like up thru Botswana, into Zambia, rest day at Vic Falls for more adventure sport,  to Malawi and into Tanzania - climb Kili so a day either side and 6 days on the mountain, down to Zanzibar or one of the other islands/resorts for a couple of days then back thru Malawi with a rest day at Lake Malawi and home via Mozambique. The wife may fly in to climb Kili and go to Zanzibar. I have some competitive costings on climbing and Zanzibar. All in all the trip should take about 6 weeks with a total milage for me from East London of about 13 000 km. The ride is 99% tar acording to my research with about 500 km/day when riding.
I am looking for any advice or ideas as well as some people to join us.
Have a great day!
