The past weekend we (16 bikes of all sorts organized by George Yamaha) enjoyed a trip from George via Swartberg; Prins Albert; Meiringspoort; Willowmore to Klipplaat Hotel. Yesterday back via Steytlerville. BUT - this is not a RR, this is about an amazing piece of machinery that joined us while having breakfast yesterday morning at the Royal Hotel in Steytlerville. None of us ever saw nor heard about such a "thing"!!
a Shortish grey-headed guy parked (pushed out from behind the Royal) the bike between our line of steeds to take a group-picture. I believe most of us felt a bit sorry for this funny-looking chap with this strange contraption on two wheels. Some of us had a look and even took some pictures. The guy said he was touring the country with this contraption ...
He later pushed it across to the garage for some LRP. Then he tried to start it - with all of us watching cynically from across the street and making jokes... But when that thing started, the cynicism was wiped from our faces and replaced with awe and respect - especially when he flew away down the main street!!!
