Unleaded and leaded Petrol?

I was speaking to a friend who just return from Tanzania; his car uses unleaded petrol.  He had problems finding unleaded petrol in Tanzania - he could only find it in Arusha, Dar es Salaam and Mbeya. He was lucky in that he had taken about 60 litres in a container (car). 

This matter is bothering me in view of my Uganda Adventure Tour.  The V-trom uses unleaded Petrol, what happens if we cannot find Unleaded petrol?  What is solution?  Can WD help me think around this problem?
