Up the mountain behind Betty's bay

Last night I sent Morne a message that said : " Die weer vir more lyk mooi. wat van koffie ? op die bikes ? by rooiels ? "
And so it happened that I was waiting for Morne at the BP garage in Gordons Bay at just before 8 this morning.

Morne arrived and we took a very sedate ride through to Rooiels where we had a lekker Coffee and a good chat. Morne had to be back in Strand by 10 , but I went on along the road to Betty's bay.

As I entered Betty's bay , I was reminded that Bailey had said I must give him a shout when I was in the area next and he would show me his part of the woods.

And so it was that after a few quick SMS's I turned onto the road that leads to Baileys place.

I took some pics on my way to his house.

I met up with Bailey and followed him up the road up the mountain.

We stopped a couple of times and I took some pics of the spectacular views.

Got some nice pics of the bay and the area around Kleinmond.

Also stopped at a mountain stream and had a sip of the most glorious mountain water.

From there we went down the mountain and parted ways , and I made my way back home.

Nee Dual. Ek het was vol dag af omdat ek Saterdag moet werk as Hentie nie hier is nie.

The ride was on Bailey's farm which is PRIVATE PROPERTY. Bailey graciously allowed me on the farm and escorted me around to show me the views.

Please do not go barging in on private property without the owner's permission.

I am sure that if a bunch of guys wanted to do the ride like that , that we could ask Bailey nicely and thet he would arrange a day for us.

Once again Bailey , thank you very much for a lekker trip and for taking time out of your day to show me around. It is much appreciated !!!!!!
