Verneukpan... an idea, comments required

I saw some thread about okes burning a bike in verneukpan. And the idea started.

What about a simple overnight camp outride to verneukpan. Something along the lines of leave PE or whereever early Saturday am drive to the remotest bit in the pan set up a small shade camp and muck around and enjoy that really big open sky. Sleep overnight under the stars and back by Sunday PM.

It may be cold at night but that is what warm clothes are for.
Water will be an issue.
Wood possibly also - for the camp fire.

It would be a leave the place as it was camp. Would just like to sit there in what feels like the middle of nowhere and be rustig.
