I unfortunately applied to much force to the clamp connecting my standard 1200GS' handguards to the handlebars and it broke 
... Went to BMW today and they want R 700 for a new clamp!!! Funny - it wasn't made out of gold or anything... Anyway - is there anybody out there that has a spare that I can buy, or know of a place where I can find a second hand one (I already tried ACME). It is a 2008 model and it is the top piece of the clamp that I am looking for (see the sketch attached -part circled in red).. Thanx!!
