Hey chaps.
I purchased a Honda deputy scooter for one of my staff and find that I like the little thing so much that I must get one for myself.
Price around 5k in the Gauteng area please.
Why a Honda Deputy over other scooters?
- It's got a semi auto gearbox with four gears with an enclosed chain and sprocket so you can mess with the gearing. Despite it only being a 125, I've seen about 110 out of it already. Can fairly easily maintain 90 on a straight road.
- Hop up performance kits are cheap and effective....it's ideal for modifications.
- It's got 17" wheels and you can feel it. Having ridden a bunch of small wheel scooters, they are cramped and skittish.
- it's known to be incredible reliable and cheap to run. Some of the CvT scooters can get pricy with the maintenance of the CVT gearbox.
