I have noticed that the bash plate collects a bit of gras and other bedries, but this afternoon, me and my wife (she on the XT) rode around the mielie fields, and across the tef (dry grass pastures) and at a point I saw that her bike smoked alot. Imediatly I knew it was that grass in the bash plate, I opened up and cought up with her cought her attention by honking, and yelling to stop, through my Adv down and ran over to her on the XT. I trough the bike on its side imediatly, luckely she landed on her feet, and blew out the flames that was coming out under the the bash plate, and quickly got a stick and cleared out all of the grass, wich was still smoking at the time. BY Grace neither bike or wife got hurt.
I will do a mod to the bash plate tomorrow so that the grass and stuff can fall trough and post some pics here.
