Day 4
Early morning on the lawns of Nduna Lodge.
Some people have too much time on their hands
Nemodakar and Sweetness must have been wary of the snoring.
Some photos of the venue
While some of the riders were doing a scenic trip through the game park , I went in search of the Carel Landman Monument.
I drove right past it initially traveling through another park in the process. The security ( about 800 metres from the monument ) had no idea what I was talking about. Some game along the way.
Travelling from the other direction it was difficult to miss.
The detail is good
Home
Also listed close by was Defonteinskloof pass. The old portion of the road.
On the way back I stopped here for brunch. Even being the only patron there, I waited 25 minutes for the meal and my requests fell on deaf ears. Don’t ask me how I like my eggs and which bread I prefer and then totally change the order.
Comes highly unreccommended.
Strange item on the menu
The GPS showed another pass on the other side of Alexandria. While travelling along I saw the KTM standing on its own. I found the sign on the left quite interesting. Was told later noone would have bothered to steal it anyway
Back to camp to hook the trailer and deliver it to town.
It was getting late and Bloukrans pass was too far so I took the road to Seven Fountains.
The sun was starting to set.
I turned around and headed back to camp. Photos seldom show the actual gradient of the road.
Back at the campsite the sun was low on the horizon
Around the lapa.
Gavin with his shirt on.
