Website for locally made products

Hi guys.

I am toying with the idea of creating an online store for good quality locally made motorcycle gear.

Do you guys think that it could work and are there enough locally made products to actually make a website specifically for that. Another option is to sell some imported products as well but would be great if it could become an entry point into the market for local start ups and existing brands.  

Let me know if you think it is a bad idea or if there is scope for something like this.
