Three Dawg said:One last quickie from The Highlands for this year. Was in need of some beer, so I decided to ride up from Inverness to John O'Groats to get some from the brewery there. About 265 miles (425km) in generally lovely weather (it was unseasonably warm yesterday), with no issues other than knacking wrists when I got home cos I haven't ridden the Falco enough this year.. Good way to end the season here. ;D
I may have posted pics from this spot before overlooking the Dornoch Firth towards Bonar Bridge, but the clouds were nice.
Lovely tin roofed church in Strath Naver, a valley that suffered severe depopulation during the Clearances.
Looked like the weather was coming in from the west, but I was able to keep ahead of it.
The brewery.
The booty with the famous sign in the background.
The sign and the ferry, which has been running to Orkney for 500 years or so. Obviously not the exact same boat....
Quick pause at the world's shortest street on my way south; Ebeneezer Place in Wick.
Phew, made it home all in one pice. Now to throw some 'Deep Groat' down me neck!
