Near Kendell

... you had me searching for "Kendell" ... G-earth took me into the USA ... so I discovered the siding and silos named "Kendal" in SA 🤣 ....those are nice gravel roads in that area ....
There is some good roads up to Kendell area, after that, because of the mines & power stations, its mostly tarred, so I need to spend some quality time on GE with mapping, and see what I can cobble together.

There are LOADS of lekker roads between the N17 and Bapsfontein, going all the way across to Loskop Dam, and south of that all the way to Middleburg - the Selons River Road goes from just east of Loskop, to about 3km from Middleburg....

Whats the economy/range like with that Setup?
I must admit, I cannot advise!!!!
See, the tank was nearly full when I collected the bike from KTM on Thursday, so I topped it off with some fuel I had in a can (fresh) to around 4cm from the filler neck - so maybe a litre short of full?
Drove around 260km until reserve, and another 40km home on reserve.
You can see the fuel left in the tank on the pic below (just below the "Argentina" sticker) - but thats all below the fuel pickup point - so you cant really use it. Stupid system.
The ACTUAL owner will fill it up in a couple of weeks and we will have an idea of economy then......

Just looked at the Acerbis website, and I believe this is the 15-litre tank with the offset filler - so I imagine we are using around 3.5-4 L/100km? Roughly?

Not Really, Ive managed to run mine dry in a race that It wouldnt fire up at the car wash afterwards, had about 2fingers of fuel left only in the left bank.

The roads for intended use ensures that the fuel in the surge pocket stays full, but yes, completely different picture if you are riding on tar with a dirt bike. Taco moto (i think) has mad a filler neck extension for the DS crowd. But with that being said, 300km is massive range for a dirtbike!

You are right - just seems silly that you dont put the pickup at the lowest point....
Anyway, you are right, 300km is plenty - I imagine it would be less at race-pace, but I was just enjoying the bike, buggering around, gunning it when I could etc.,
Huge fun!
