With the 990 fuel filter getting blocked with dirt, someone told me the other day to use 93 octane instead of 95, because it seems to be a lot cleaner...
Then I thought...Either way, will it not work to pour your fuel through a lady cotton stocking (or better known in Afrikaans as a sykous) ? Then, at least you might catch the biggest rubbish in the fuel if your in a place like Lesotho or Africa somewhere... I've poured about 5 litres from my fuel can through a cotton stocking just to try, and it seems like I caught a little molecular black dot...
