Winterton to Clarens on a Big Boy scooter.

A friend phones and tells me that there is a chalet booked and paid for at Kiara lodge between Golden gate and Clarens, and it is mine if I wanted it.I accepted the offer and decided to travel with the scooter.

The route was from Winterton to Bergville and then to Geluksburg and from there to  Harrismith via Middledale pass. From Harrismith i travelled to Phuthaditjaba and from there to Clarens.

The return tripped was all tar over Oliviershoek pass.

I was riding a Big Boy RS 150 Adventure.

The trip to Clarens was 187 km. The average moving speed was 44 km/h and the highest speed was 82 km/h according to GPS . Did it in about 4 hours with 2 fuel stops.

On corrugated roads it struggles, rest ok. Can jump but can't land.
