Can a BMW X-Challenge air shock be modified.
Having spent a little time on my X-Challenge now, I'm not entirely unhappy with how the shock operates (although by no means ecstatic either) but if the total throw/stroke could just be cut down from (estimated 78.48mm) to about 70mm, then the travel would reduce from 270mm to roughly 240mm but the seat height should also reduce by 30mm too. I'm guessing that this would also help to aleviate the crappy tilt forward to a degree as well under braking.
Just throwing some ideas around.
I'm guessing that the ideal total shock length when fully extended should be about 330mm - 335mm. Shorter than that will cause travel issue.
Any other ideas that arent going to involve me selling some offspring?
