My friend has a Yamaha 230, and after standing for a while, it wouldn't start. My theory is that they didn't put enough petrol in the tank, because as soon as we sprayed some directly into the carb (no Quick Start on hand), it fired up.
But then we noticed that an engine mount on the RH side was broken. So we haven't touched it since. It's the ring/mount on the engine, not the frame. The bar/giant bolt securing the engine is still there (mount on the other side is fine from what I can see).
Below are some photos (sorry, cell phone pics).
I also saw that there is a lot of space between the engine and the rubber spacers on the frame; is that normal, or should the engine rest against those?
I can't find a service manual to download virus-free. Is this something that should be sorted out by Yamaha, or is there a cheaper at-home-fix option? Bike is based in Somerset West. Not sure of the year model, but it was bought secondhand in 2007.
Thanks! O0
