Would love to hear the opinion of the "wiser" dogs on this deal please. Still bikeless after my Dakar was stolen recently, and the following private deal is now availible:
2004 1200GS with only 2 600km's and BMW AL panniers.
Price R90 000 ono.
The bike was in "transit" for the last two years as the owner is a Director of an international company. The bike was bought in JAPAN. Did check with the local BMW agent that it is the same spec (=Asian) as RSA. No warranty issues as it is a 2004 model.
The bike is absolutely in "as new" condition. No marks what so ever and spotless clean - obviously never used on gravel. (the headers are still shining and the tyres still with little injection mould hear visible.
The issue = 2 600km's in 4 years and ex-Japan model, recently registered in RSA
He did not accept my first offer of R80 000!
